Connection help, picture fixes, care, warranty and security support.

Switch on Spark and check its camera status light. For normal use, keep Spark and your device on the same Wi-Fi. If you are adding a device after first setup, use Find Spark already on Wi-Fi. Follow the additional-device steps.
Return to your device’s Wi-Fi settings and check which network it joined. After sending your home Wi-Fi details, reconnect your device to that same home network, return to Zu3D and choose Try again if offered. More connection fixes.
Install the native app before going offline, then use Use Spark directly. You stay connected to Spark’s own network while filming; it does not provide internet access. Read the direct-connection steps.
Your Spark includes Zu3D 5 Premium: permanent activation on five devices, plus Premium on unlimited devices while connected to Spark’s live picture. Use a permanent activation for a device where you want Premium with Spark off. Contact support if you need to move an activation.

Connection guideConnect Zu3D in Chrome through Spark Connector.
Chromebook guideArrange your box stage, backdrop and camera.
Stage guidePosition the overhead mount for tabletop animation.
Overhead guideTurn Spark’s lens rim until the model is sharp. Keep the model still until each capture finishes. Use a lens cloth to clean the glass.
Add light first. Open the sun control in the on-screen Spark controls and choose Set from scene. For manual adjustment, open Advanced, switch Auto live off and adjust Exposure. Capture a test frame.
Block changing daylight and keep the lights in position. Leave exposure and white balance locked during a shot. For flickering bands, open Camera → Spark picture setup → Advanced sensor controls and set Anti-flicker to suit the lighting: usually 50 Hz in the UK. Capture a test before continuing.
Use onion skinning to line up with the previous frame, then secure the tripod and stage. A new camera angle can also turn the interruption into the start of a new shot.
Press Spark’s rear power button to switch on; long-press to switch off. Use a supplied cable with a compatible 5 V USB source and follow the enclosed Safety and Compliance Information for the supply specifications and charging conditions. To cut down on e-waste, we supply charging cables (two USB-A to USB-C and one USB-C to USB-C) but not a plug adapter, as most homes already have a device with a suitable USB adapter.
With USB connected, the small orange light beside the USB socket flashes while charging and stays on when fully charged. Without USB power, flashing can indicate a low battery. This is separate from the multicolour camera status light.
For the lights, press the rear power button to switch on or off. CCT changes warmth and DIM changes brightness. Use the supplied cable with a compatible 5 V / 1 A USB supply. Green indicators show charging progress; all four lit means fully charged. The battery indicator flashes when low.
Remove storage packaging before operation or charging. Keep the equipment on a stable, ventilated surface, away from liquids and excessive heat. Spark is not waterproof; use it outside only in dry conditions. Use the lights indoors and charge indoors.
If equipment or a battery is swollen, leaking, unusually hot or smells unusual, stop using and charging it. Disconnect external power if safe and contact us. Do not send a damaged battery through ordinary post.
Contact support@zu3d.com for an approved replacement camera battery and instructions. Replacement is occasional adult maintenance. Do not dismantle the lights or attempt battery repairs.
Zu3D Spark will receive security updates as necessary until at least 30 November 2031.
To check your camera in Zu3D, open the Zu3D menu, choose Zu3D Spark, then Spark status & firmware. Follow the app’s instructions for an available update. Keep Spark powered and do not interrupt an update.
Email support@zu3d.com with what you found, the affected device or software version and steps to reproduce it. You do not need an account or proof of purchase to report a security concern. Do not post camera sticker details publicly.
We will acknowledge your report within five working days and provide updates at least every twenty working days until resolution.
